Today was all about prepping for Halloween!
We are hosting a party tomorrow night, so I recruited the siblings (My sister, and JasoNerd’s brother) to help get things ready!
I made us a lovely lunch (only 2 hours after breakfast) of Halloween Shapes Macaroni and cheese.
I think the shapes tasted better because they were cute! We have a bat, a ghost, and a pumpkin:
I made two boxes, and split them equally between our three bowls… so I guess I ate 2/3 of a box!
Not too much later, I was starving yet again.
I munched on some grapes:
A CLIF Mojo bar:
And some chips with homemade guacamole (made for the party):
We then got to work baking cupcakes!
Brielle iced, Zach sprinkled…
…and I pretty much just licked the bowl!
The finished product:
After all the work in the kitchen and cleaning the apartment, we were pooped. The four of us plopped onto the couch and watched The Orphan. Have you seen it? That movie was disturbing…
Dinner
The group was begging for Chinese take-out and it sounded like a good idea not get up off the couch.
My plate:
- Fried Rice
- Veggie spring roll
- piece of Jason’s chicken
- Chicken with snowpeas
Obviously, I saved room for a chocolate cupcake. Zach did a great job with the sprinkles! So precisely placed…
Off to finish our Halloween costumes!! Jason’s makes me laugh. I can’t wait to show it to you!
What are you going to be for Halloween?

Those cupcakes look so PRO!
I always think the shape macaroni & cheese tastes better than plain old macaroni & cheese! Have a happy Halloween
Cute Halloween treats!
I especially like the ghost sprinkles.
No Halloween fun this year. Maybe next?
The cupcakes look amazing! I haven’t had that kind of mac and cheese in forever, and it used to be my all time favorite! haha can’t go wrong with classics right?

Looks like a fun night!
I have no big halloween plans this year – probably just going to hand out some candy to the kids in our complex
The Boy’s birthday is in a week and I am going to do some sneaky present shopping today or tomorrow!
So I’m catching up on your last three posts… Yes, brielle should make a blog and i would totally read it
awesome job on the long run! Cursing always helps at the end! I was mouthing some choice words at the end of my first 5k. I was trying to give it all I had at the end and my dad was running the end of it with me (He finished the run and then came back to help me with the finish) and I hope the little kids there couldn’t read my lips lol. I love mac and cheese! I’ve only been eating the velvetta kind lately but I actually prefer the old school kind that you made
I have to work tonight but we are allowed to dress up so I’m going to be an assassin! I’ll have pictures up on my blog of my costume later tonight
Mmmm, chocolate cupcakes! So cute! I think that’s one of the best parts of holidays- the baking! For Halloween I always make those witches’ hats- pb cookies with Hershey’s kisses in the middle.
I like your Halloween candle,too- is it pumpkiny??
