Continuing on with my Things I’m Thankful for series…
I am thankful for my health.
When I was filling out pre-surgery forms at the doctor’s office, I realized how healthy I actually am!
There were several categories of health ailments, with boxes to check if you had issues with any thing in the past. I am thankful that I have no history (or family history) of diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension, obesity, cancer, major dental problems, psychological, or respiratory problems.
My blood pressure is 98/65. Way below normal, thanks to running!
I am thankful that I have the knowledge of how to keep myself healthy through [balanced] diet and exercise. I am thankful that I have access to whole, fresh, healthy food.
My overall health is something I take for granted. I know I do not eat perfectly, and that I still have room for improvement. I will never be perfect, but being healthy isn’t about perfection. It’s about balance.

Awesome.
I think most people take their health for granted, me included. It’s something that we just have and sometimes it’s easy to forget how lucky we are to have it.
I definitely agree with that one! After struggling for years with an eating disorder and beating it, I realized how special my health truly was and never want to take it for granted again

It wasn’t until I lost my health that I appreciated how great it is to be healthy…
During “ED”, I couldn’t run more than 5 miles, 5 times a week.
Now, I run at least twice that without any exhaustion or injuries.
Yay for health!
Holy crap with that blood pressure, girl! That’s amazing! You inspired me to go do a work out right now in hopes of achieving those types of numbers one day!
Agree. I often think this when I’m running that I’m lucky that I get to run that day. I need to eat healthier I did today, but I cooked. New recipe was divine. Hope you toes feel better and your back running. I’m thinking about a marathon, but I’m soo nervous to commit without a training partner.
glad you have great health!
