Timpano!

Look who came to visit me today!  :D

My little sister, Lexie, and my stepmom, Janelle! They came up from Tampa for the day to see my new apartment and take me out for a birthday lunch (I told you it’s birthday week!)

We planned on going to Seasons 52, but we forgot to make a reservation, and the wait was way too long. Instead of waiting, we headed next door to Timpano!

Timpano is an Italian Chop House with four locations in Florida. I have been wanting to try it out for a while, and it was the perfect occasion. I was surprised that it was fairly empty considering how crowded Seasons 52 (just next door) was.

While we looked over the menu, the waiter brought out some hot, fresh rolls. Along with it, some olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

There was a good amount on the menu that I wanted to try, so I might just have to go back!

The three of us all ended up choosing the same exact menu item, the “Sammy Davis Jr.”  Great minds think alike?!

First, I had the Italian wedding soup. I’ve never had this kind before, and I really liked it! I want to try to find a recipe to make this at home.

Next, our “lunch box” was brought out.

The fish of the day, Mahi-Mahi, was pan seared to perfection. It was served with broccolini, yellow and green squash, roasted red peppers, and mushrooms. To die for!

On the side, it came with a simple garden salad.

It came with two little dessert thingies. I have no idea what they were… but I didn’t really like them anyways. (I have a giant cupcake at home to eat anyways!)

While my stepmom and I discussed this weeks’ events (the break-up, moving into my new apartment, and some outrageous blog comment shenanigans) my little sister got bored and drew some artwork for my fridge!

My little sister is adorable. I love her to death!

I’m really thankful to have such a great family. I have realized, especially lately, that they are there for me no matter what!

  1. I guess the comment in question got deleted, but just know that we all support you.’When I go through things like that, I always picture how in a few months I’ll look back and it will hardly be a blip on my radar. It’s unfortunate that it happened before your birthday week, but I’m glad you’re having so much fun!
