After a weekend of fun and indulgence, it’s time to get back on the healthy bandwagon.
Apparently, I’m not the only one feeling this way. (See Caitlin’s post.)
Looking back on the week, I ate way to much crap. Remember?
- Brownies
- Puppy chow
- countless cookies
- multiple alcoholic drinks
- multiple Starbucks visits
I started my morning with a healthy bowl of cereal and fruit.
A bowl of Quaker Squares Cereal plus fat free milk .
…and half a grapefruit with a sprinkle of stevia on top.
I don’t like restricting myself but I really do want to cut back on some of this junk eating.
After a couple of days of unhealthy eating, I try not to focus on what I am missing out on (in terms of sweets, etc) but what my body is in NEED of. For instance, I ate nothing GREEN yesterday! I need to make sure I get that in today!
My goal is to look at each food I eat for the next week and if it does nothing for me, I am not eating it. Fair enough? What good is that cookie REALLY going to do for my body?
Time to get back on the bandwagon!
How do you bounce back from unhealthy or indulgent meals/days?

After a day of indulging, I just go back to the way I regularly eat the next day...I don't restrict myself from dessert if I want it, but then again I don't eat like I did the day before either, haha :)
i think your attitude towards getting back on the "healthy bandwagon" is great! No restricting, just healthy, nouirishing choices which is definetly the way to go!
have a great sunday :)
I am in the same boat too! Ate a bunch of yummy junk this weekend! I just limit the junk/refined food and eat more healthy but I don't restrict because then I just end up eating crappy and unhappy!
nothing wrong with treating ourselves to a delicious weekend :)!
